Evidence of Effectiveness

Results from a randomized controlled trial (RCT) conducted in the 2011-2012 academic year (unpublished report) supported the effectiveness of Sky Schools for middle and high school students. This evaluation included 394 students in two schools who were in grades 7 to 10 (90% Latinx; 91% students were eligible for free or reduced-price lunch (FRPL)). This evaluation found that students who participated in the program self-reported increased empathy compared to students in the comparison group (outcomes reported approximately four weeks after baseline).
